Activity: Consultancy typesOther external non-academic engagement

Martin Campbell - Participant

The Scottish Government has funded the development of a toolkit offering advice for learning, self evaluation and practical action. This toolkit is part of a framework to ensure people with profound and multiple learning disabilities receive comprehensive health care through the delivery of invasive health care procedures

This toolkit will be made available to care practitioners and parents. This is a joint project with PAMIS (Scotland), NHS Scotland and the University of Dundee.

Between 2010-2012 Scottish Government funded a review of the health care needs of people with profound and multiple learning disabilities, and identified barriers to the effective delivery of invasive procedures. A comprehensive framework to ensure that such procedures are delivered as and where required has been developed, together with recommendations on responsibilities for implementation.
