Research overview

Charles Warren's current research interests lie within the broad field of environmental management.  In particular, he is engaged in research into:

1. Environmental policy debates in Scotland, including the sustainability of upland estates, the conversion of farmland to grow energy crops, and the management of lowland & peri-urban deer.

2. Social dimensions of the energy transition, including public attitudes towards renewable energy technologies.

3. Proposals for 'rewilding' and the reintroduction of lost species.

4. Debates surrounding the conservation management of alien and native species.

His h-index is currently 36, and 12 of his publications have been cited over 100 times.
