Evelin Dombay


Research overview

Evelin is currently a final year PhD candidate in the Gillespie research group within the Infection and Global Health Division of the School of Medicine. Her research focuses on the development and evaluation of novel tuberculosis (TB) biomarkers to facilitate treatment monitoring and accelerate drug development in clinical trials. Evelin has a profound scientific interest in the detection and biology of non-replicating persister M. tuberculosis cells during infection using either fluorescence microscopy or polymerase chain reaction (PCR) based molecular tools.
