Research overview

I am an evolutionary biologist interested in genome evolution and speciation. I have worked on sex chromosome evolution, and have used the grasshopper Podisma pedestris to study concerted evolution or ribosomal DNA (rDNA), phylogeography and the role of rDNA in reproductive isolation in the hybrid zone of this species, found in the French Alps.

More recently I have been studying courtship behaviour in Drosophila montana, and its implications in speciation and genome evolution in general.
