Dr Lennon specialises in the Early Modern period with a focus on Hispanic literature and culture and the influences that helped shape it, particularly those of Renaissance Italy. His main areas of investigation include syncretism, classical reception, and gender. He would be interested to hear from potential graduate students keen to explore Early Modern Hispanic literature and culture, whether exclusively or comparatively, especially those who may wish to focus on poetry.
Currently, Dr Lennon co-supervises Emma Mavin's SGSAH-funded PhD project 'Cataphasis and Apophasis in the Mystic Theology of St John of the Cross' at the University of Edinburgh.
