Research overview

Tim researches socio-spatial dynamics of Sino-African relations and related patterns of uneven spatial development in the TAZARA Development Corridor. For this purpose, he develops a spatial political economy approach to the hitherto largely under-theorised study of 'China in Africa' which draws on (meta-)theoretical insights from the critical realist philosophy of science, critical political geography and the New Regionalism Approach.
