Abstract

Room temperature Y-89 NMR has been carried out on aligned Y (1-x)Ca(x)Ba(2)Cu(3)O(6+)partial derivative for 0.00 less than or equal to x less than or equal to 0.25 and partial derivative less than or equal to 0.15. Spectra were double-peaked for doped samples in the parallel position, with Knight shifts converging at higher doping concentrations. The orientation dependence of the x=0.14 was also determined.

The data has been fitted by a nearest/next-nearest neighbour calculation via interactions with the plane coppers. This indicates the possibility of observing inequivalent Y sites due to the introduction of calcium.
