Abstract

An optical vortex possesses an orbital angular momentum (OAM) and a ring-shaped spatial profile due to its spiral wavefront, characterized by a topological charge I [1]. The OAM of an optical vortex can twist the irradiated materials, such as metal, silicon, azo-polymer films [2,3], to form helical structured materials. Thus, the optical vortex has been intensely studied in laser materials processing.
