Domain wall relaxation frequency and magnetocrystalline anisotropy constant in Ni-Zn ferrites

Abstract

The frequency behavior of polycrystalline ferrites with composition Zn0.64Ni0.36Fe2O4 was investigated in the 100 Hz to 13 MHz frequency and 300-900 K temperature ranges. A comparison of the thermal behavior of the domain wall relaxation frequency with the magnetocrystalline anisotropy constant exhibited a linear relationship. These results are interpreted in terms of the restoring force factor for wall bulging. We explore the possibility of using frequency measurements to investigate the anisotropy constant in polycrystalline samples.
